The Tribe's WNBA basketball team, the Connecticut Sun, lost its two road games over the weekend. Phoenix beat the Sun on Saturday by a score of 95-84 and the Sun lost on Sunday to Los Angeles by a score of 91-81.
Tonight the Sun will play its fourth consecutive game on the road when it plays at Sacramento before returning to the Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday to play New York. Four games remain on the Sun's schedule. The last two games will be against Atlanta on September 11 and conference leader Indiana on September 13.
The Sun are tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference with Chicago. Both teams are still in contention for a possible playoff spot with season records of 14-16. They both trail first place Indiana by seven games.
