Connecticut Sun Basketball Team Could Announce Today The Signing Of WNBA Veteran Kara Lawson

The Connecticut Sun WNBA basketball team could announce at today´s planned media luncheon at the Mohegan Sun the signing of WNBA free agent Kara Lawson, according to Ned Griffin of The Day who cites league sources. Lawson, 28, averaged 9.3 points per game for the seven years she played with the Sacramento Monarchs.

Griffin adds, ¨Lawson averaged seven points and a team-high three assists in eight games for the gold medal-winning United States at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. She shot 5-for-5 and had a team-high 15 points in the gold medal game against Australia ...¨
