Foxwoods issued a press release Monday announcing their deal as a prime sponsor for the Boston House of Blues, a deal that will be celebrated this weekend at Foxwoods by the parties exchanging wampum.
News of the arrangement, which names Foxwoods as presenting sponsor, was reported last week by the Boston Globe and also previously reported here in the Feather News.
The House of Blues Boston will now be called the ¨House of Blues Boston presented by Foxwoods Resort Casino.¨ The deal also calls for Foxwoods´ logo to be displayed inside the concert venue as well, signage on the Massachusetts Turnpike and a section of VIP seats.
The press release notes that, ¨House of Blues Boston ranked #1 on Pollstar’s “Top 100 Worldwide Club Venues” in 2009 for having sold more tickets than any other club venue in the world, with more than 300,000 tickets sold in that year alone.¨
The House of Blues is owned by Live Nation.
The ceremony is to take place before the Cheap Trick concert at Boston House of Blues presented by Foxwoods. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
